I'm very excited to announce an updated website and portfolio page! There are now enough designs which I'm happy enough with to put together into a portfolio. The website has also been simplified for a smarter, cleaner look. Now I just need to show my potential clients! … Continue reading Portfolio Page & New Look Website
Albeit a little late (only a few weeks!) I've started the third module of the Make It In Design courses. Focusing more on the business side but still with some creative exercises to get the juices flowing and hopefully bulk up the images for a portfolio. So far I have created a Gift Wrap range, … Continue reading The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design Course – Module 3
I wanted to submit an entry for the latest Spoonflower design contest but didn't have too much time before I went on vacation. Instead of a brand new design I reworked an older Polar Bear one to include more detail and texture. Voting open now! https://www.spoonflower.com/contests/animals-of-the-ocean

Based on … Continue reading The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design Course – Module 2

It's been an inspiring month in which I've produced a lot of work and been given a real creative boost for moving forward. The first Creative Brief was 'Bright Blooms' which focused on … Continue reading Make It In Design Winter School 2018 – Completed!
I've just finished a new botanical pattern that I'm really pleased with. About to upload to some Print On Demand shop sites so available on products very soon!
New pattern 'Epiphytes' based on air-plants growing on branches I saw at Kew Gardens. A few colourways here, I think I like the pale green and yellow best. I'd like to try and crack out a few loose and quicker patterns on a similar theme to help get some creative juices flowing!
